Harford County Amateur Radio Emergency Service (ARES) / Radio Amateur Civil Emergency Service
(RACES) will be holding a recruitment event on April 6, 2023 at the Harford County Department of
Emergency Services (DES), 2220 Ady Road, Forest Hill, MD. Food and refreshments will be served at 6
PM, and the meeting will commence at 7 PM. Hams interested in attending should send an email to
harfordaresraces@gmail.com. ARES/RACES provides backup and supplemental radio communications
to DES and other county agencies during major emergency events and communication outage events.
