Amateur Radio: ARES • RACES • SKYWARN

We are a group of trained, volunteer, Amateur Radio operators in Harford County, Maryland who, under the auspices of the Harford County Department of Emergency Services (DES), provide public service communication during emergencies.  The team also supports community events like the Harford County Farm Fair and Susquehanna River Running Festival. We regularly participate in the Maryland statewide RACES communications exercises (COMMEX), conduct ongoing emergency communication training, and disaster preparation, exercises, as well as practicing emergency hospital communication nets administered by the  (the American Radio Relay League,  Maryland -District of Columbia).ARRL MDC

Amateur Radio Repeaters and Nets

Join our ARES net each second and fourth Tuesday at 7:00 PM, 146.775 (-) tone 146.2. Everyone is invited – you do not need to be a member – please join us! Also check out the Clubs & Nets page to find other nets in and around the area.

Our call sign is KC3FHC (Harford County RACES) with repeaters in both analog FM and digital D-STAR located in Forest Hill, MD near Bel Air – see our repeaters page for more information. This is an open repeater system, all Amateur Radio operators are welcome to use the repeaters.
