National Night Out

Harford County ARES/RACES is proud to participate in Harford County’s National Night Out, joining public safety agencies and community organizations to promote emergency preparedness, public safety, and community resilience. Visitors can experience live Amateur Radio demonstrations, learn how volunteer radio operators provide critical backup communications during emergencies, and discover how ARES/RACES supports the Harford County Department of Emergency Services when traditional communication systems are unavailable or overloaded. Our members enjoy sharing how Amateur Radio serves the community and welcome anyone interested in emergency communications, public service, or becoming a licensed Amateur Radio operator.
